Ieri e Oggi

Last night we all ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner and the sweet hotel staff gave us each a red heart to clip to our clothes/hair for Valentine's Day. :) They also gave a select few of us dessert on the house. I love speaking with them and practicing my Italian.

Today we stopped at the market before class. I bought some apples and almonds. 4 apples and un etto (100g) of almonds for 1 euro e mezza. (1.50). Can't beat that.

I might have gotten my sinus infection again from Rome. So pray for me. I am taking lots of vitamin C, lots of water, etc. I don't want to miss a single thing.

We had class with Mary Lou (conversational Italian), with Susanna (introduction to our field trip tomorrow-Etruscans and Ancient Rome in Ostia and Cerveteri.) and with Marco (Roman history). Still can't decide which is my favorite, but I do find myself studying Mary Lou's lessons throughout the day. I think I want to move to Italy and become fluent in Italian.....

At lunch break we went to the supermercato. I just got some crackers for my peanut butter.

Then we had Monday movie night at Dr. B's. We watched Under the Tuscan Sun (so much fun to watch in Italy! If you haven't seen it, you should.) And Dr. B made us homemade pasta with fresh vegetables. It was so great to feel at home watching movies and eating a great meal. Dr. B has a fireplace and I ended up being the one to start and "kindle" the fire. (thank you very much) I have never done that before, and actually I was pretty good! (I definitely should be in charge of the next bonfire in auburn! :))

Now it's time for bed before our field trip tomorrow!

A presto!
