i renamed this blog "becoming" because lately what has been on my mind is all of the things i haven't been... all of the things i want to be... the things i am becoming.
as christians, we are always being transformed, always being made more into his likeness.
some of the things i am becoming are things that i have once been before that i never should have "unbecome." some of them are new. some of them i will always be "becoming."
thats the neat thing and the mystery of our God...
i am redeemed. but i am also in the process of being redeemed.
i am holy and i am being made holy.
i am righteous and i am being made righteous.
i am a new creation and i am being made new.
by what Christ did on the cross and by my acceptance of that as truth i am already those things. but it's also a process.
so here are the things i hope to become and continue becoming
loving
kind
joyful
patient
faithful
gentle
whole
healed
at peace
fulfilled by God alone
prayerful
humble
a tree who bears good fruit
servant
most importantly of all... and how i plan on becoming any of this any way... i plan on becoming [once again] and continuing to become deeply and genuinely and wholly in love with Jesus Christ.
