trust

This morning I decided to open up Jesus Calling. It's always sitting on our coffee table and today I just felt like looking at it.

February 21's entry is all about trust and thankfulness. It says, "Trust and thankfulness will get you safely through this day. Trust protects you from worrying and obsessing. Thankfulness keeps you from criticizing and complaining: those 'sister sins' that so easily entangle you."

I love how every time I open up a daily devotional that day's entry always relate so perfectly to what I'm dealing with on that exact date. I shouldn't be so surprised every time that God has wisdom to speak directly into my life at just the right time.

I find out tomorrow if I am accepted into the Nashville Teaching Fellows program. It seems so perfect for what I want to do in life that it's hard to not stress about it. I have to keep reminding myself that I want God's will for me. Only God's will. And if it is not nft, that's good.

God is for me.
