not too much new stuff to update.
i finished out the week at maranatha school. still enjoying the kindergarteners and preschoolers very much.
pastor peter had us over for dinner one night. it was fun to see his house and meet his children.
coryn, amy, juliette and i went into kampala saturday for lunch and shopping. it was great.
sunday church was good. there was a guest there from somewhere in europe who brought all these really pretty banner/flag things. during worship tons of ugandans were waving them. their worship is already so filled with movement and excitedment. i loved that because i felt like i got a reminder of what heaven is going to be like. [it's not going to be just a bunch of white people ya know!]. evan and amy [our neighbors] made juliette and i lunch. then we played dutch blitz [aka NERTZ]. who knew it was a real game? not me...
i spent sunday late afternoon at the baby home. i love those little ones more and more everyday. might try to sneak little rachel home in my backpack.
today i was in middle class at the kindergarten [they have baby class-like preschool, middle class-basically kindergarten, and top class- sort of like pre 1st]. I got to do a craft with the class and then played a game to learn all of their names. Middle class is my favorite. I have already picked out a couple of them as my favorites, although I know I shouldn't. When i walk in the classroom they all greet me "goodmorning teacha ay-mee-lee." Amina [girl] and Jona [boy] are my favorites for sure.
After school i spent time at the baby home. Then Coryn & Jamesdon, Amy & Evan, Christy & Tadd and Randy [more on them later] and i went out to eat ethiopian food. it was definitely interesting and very good. you eat it all with your hands. we also got some gelato/ice cream across the street. i love trying new things.
tomorrow i am headed back to bethany with juliette. there is a pastor's conference going on there [something like 300 pastors from uganda, US, canada, etc]. i think juliette and i will observe some of that. and of course, i will spend time with my granny house kids.
